Poker770 plays the poker games of choice Texas Hold’em, Omaha and Omaha Hi/Lo. Texas Hold’em is the game played in the final of the world series as it is faster than the more traditional games and so is perfect for a TV audience. Although it can be played by up to 23 people at a time, there are usually between 2 and 10 players at the table. Texas Hold’em is a seven card poker game and players are dealt 2 pocket cards (face down each) that are not revealed until showdown. The remaining five cards are community cards are dealt face up on the table. There are several betting rounds as the cards are dealt and at ‘showdown’ players make the best five card hand they can using, one, two or none of their cards and their choice of the community cards. The player with the best hand wins.
